BlackBerry Video Converter is a video and audio converter. It was designed to convert files for playback on BlackBerry phones, but there aren't any customized profiles for playback on specific BlackBerry phones. The application simply converts to MPEG-4 and AVI. If you want to change the resolution of your video, you have to go to the conversion settings and do it there. It is quite easy to do. But there are only three resolutions supported: 320x240, 240x180, and 480x360.
The graphical user interface is not standard-looking, but it isn't bad-looking either. It is divided into three different modes: video, music, and photo. Each of those modes supports a different type of conversion. Thus, with this tool, you can convert videos, music, and photos.
In my testing, I used an FLV file and converted it to the default MPEG-4 profile. I didn't change any video settings. The converted file played on VLC quite well and I didn't find any problems with the video or the audio. I also tested the audio converter using an AVI file as input. The converter ripped the audio to an MP3 file that also played well.
